Roborock Qrevo Curv
Our anti-tangle starting point. It has a directly reported hair-tangle result from Vacuum Wars. Retain the developing-test qualification and check its brush-access instructions before buying.
Practical floor-care guide
Hair on the floor, hair around a roller and a stopped cleaning job are different outcomes. Compare the test conditions before choosing a brush.

Short answer: put the Roborock Qrevo Curv first on your long-hair shortlist if reducing brush wrap is the priority: Vacuum Wars reported no tangles in its developing hair-tangle test. That is a useful result, not a maintenance-free guarantee. The eufy X10 Pro Omni is a mixed-floor candidate with specific carpet restrictions. The Dreame D20 Pro Plus has a published detangling brush design, but the tests cited here did not evaluate it.
We reviewed third-party test reports and their video captions. We did not run these cleaning tests. Our shortlist is an editorial judgment based on the evidence described below; the tests are not a single head-to-head comparison.
In The Hook Up's March 2024 comparison, Rob Anderson spread 1 gram of long hair on his bathroom floor and sent each robot through a two-pass, vacuum-only run. He then inspected the floor, rollers and dustbins. The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra became tangled enough to stop and report jammed brushes. Other machines retained hair but kept operating. Those are different outcomes: hair wrap and a stopped cleaning job should not be treated as the same score.
Anderson questioned whether the load was excessive and repeated the test with 20 individual strands. Narwal Freo X Ultra collected all but one strand in its bin; the other robots retained hair at the sides of their rollers, where he described it as removable during routine maintenance. These quantities are his test inputs, not a safe hair limit for your home. Watch the method and both runs, 11:56–12:56.
Our buying judgment: ask what was put on the floor, whether the robot finished, and where the hair remained. A clean-looking floor answers only part of that question. Hair collected beside a roller also does not establish that it travelled inside a bearing; this report did not demonstrate that mechanism.
The comparison used S8 MaxV Ultra, not Qrevo Curv. Its eufy test unit was MACH R1, described by the reviewer as the forthcoming S1 Pro, not X10 Pro Omni. It cannot establish a long-hair result for either Curv or X10. The reviewer's written report identifies the models and test conditions.
Vacuum Wars described Curv's DuoDivide main brush as two separate brushes with a gap in the centre. In the channel's hair-tangle test, Curv tied for the top result with no observed tangles. The reviewer explicitly said the test was still being developed. See the brush and test explanation, 01:08–01:38.
That is the basis for our Curv preference here. It does not establish how often you will need to clean its brushes, and it should not be compared numerically with Anderson's differently configured test. We have no matched long-hair test of Curv, X10 and D20 Pro Plus to declare a universal winner.
Our anti-tangle starting point. It has a directly reported hair-tangle result from Vacuum Wars. Retain the developing-test qualification and check its brush-access instructions before buying.
Consider for low-pile rugs and mopping. Vacuum Wars discusses automatic mop lifting at 02:02–02:18; that segment is a feature explanation, not a measured long-hair result. Carpet compatibility remains a separate check.
A design-based candidate. Dreame documents its HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush. The independent tests used here did not assess this model, so we give it no measured tangle score or cleaning advantage over the other two.
Pa is a pressure unit. An advertised suction rating alone cannot prove long-hair anti-tangle performance. Read the relevant brush test before using a suction figure to choose between these candidates.
The X10 Pro Omni manual says to avoid cleaning high-pile rugs or rugs thicker than 0.71 in / 18 mm, because they may cause the robot to malfunction. eufy's carpet guidance identifies Vacuum Only for low-pile carpet and Carpet Avoidance for medium to high pile. Its 12 mm mop lift does not override those restrictions.
A No-Mop Zone restricts mopping; it is not the same as keeping the robot out. When the rug should be avoided altogether, use the appropriate carpet-avoidance or no-go control and check the saved map. This is a planning recommendation based on the documented distinction, not a claim that every rug was tested.
Curv's manual describes removing its main-brush bearings to clear collected debris. For its omnidirectional wheel, it permits using a small tool to remove the axle and wheel but says the wheel bracket cannot be removed. It also requires the washed filter to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before reinstallation. Those instructions apply to the Qrevo Curv manual cited below.
X10 Pro Omni's manual separately permits rinsing its dustbox and filter, followed by complete air-drying. Do not apply a blanket “never wash a filter” rule to it. Use the care instructions for the exact replacement part and model; neither the roller's appearance nor another brand's routine tells you which parts detach.

No. Vacuum Wars reported no tangles in a test it said was still being developed. That result does not establish a maintenance-free lifetime; follow the Curv manual.
No. They are inputs in The Hook Up's two test runs, not household limits. The change in results shows why the test load must accompany the outcome.
Its manual says to avoid high-pile rugs or rugs thicker than 18 mm because they may cause malfunction. A No-Mop Zone alone does not establish permission to vacuum such a rug.
Video evidence: Vacuum Wars, Curv brush and developing test; Vacuum Wars, X10 mop-lift explanation; The Hook Up, long-hair comparison and changed test load. Automatic captions were checked for these passages; none is presented as our own test.
Model rules were checked against the X10 Pro Omni manual, eufy's carpet guidance, Qrevo Curv manual, routine maintenance and Dreame's D20 Pro Plus brush description. Manufacturer material verifies the model rules; it is not independent performance evidence.
