eufy X10 Pro Omni Carpet Modes: Set the Boundary Before Cleaning

Choose a carpet mode and map restriction without treating 12 mm mop lift as a universal rug limit.

Short answer: use the X10’s Vacuum Only carpet option for low-pile rugs within its operating limits; use Carpet Avoidance where the robot should skip detected carpet. The manual separately advises avoiding high-pile rugs or rugs thicker than 18 mm. A No-Mop zone is not the same as a No-Go zone.

Separate the three controls

eufy’s carpet support page describes Vacuum Only as suitable for low pile and Carpet Avoidance as suitable for medium-to-high pile. The latter skips the detected carpet; it is not a stronger vacuum setting. The manual distinguishes an area excluded from vacuum entry from an area excluded from mopping.

Keep lift and rug thickness separate

The published 12 mm lift describes pad movement. It does not establish a tested maximum pile height. The warning to avoid high pile or rugs thicker than 0.71 in / 18 mm concerns possible malfunction; the manual does not identify a specific mechanism in that warning.

Record settings for each rug

Our setup suggestion: record the rug’s location, construction, thickness and fringe, then choose the mode or map restriction supported by the model instructions. If you cannot determine whether it is within the limits, leave it outside the planned cleaning route until the manufacturer resolves the fit.

Check whether the map detects the intended rug rather than assuming the setting has applied to every textile. A bath mat and a room-sized rug can occupy different parts of the map. This is an editorial setup checklist, not a test of carpet detection accuracy.

For a purchasing decision, read the X10 buying assessment. This page covers setup; it does not rank alternative robots or compare old prices.

Frequently asked questions

Does 12 mm lift mean all rugs up to 12 mm are supported?

No. Lift movement is not a tested rug-thickness limit. Check the separate operating guidance.

What does Carpet Avoidance do?

According to eufy support, it steers around detected carpet and skips cleaning it.

Are No-Mop and No-Go the same?

No. The X10 manual distinguishes restrictions on mopping from restrictions on entering an area to vacuum.
