Short answer: no. Tineco's US Floor ONE S5 support page says the Floor One cannot clean carpet. It describes pickup and washing on hard floors. The S5 therefore does not replace a carpet vacuum, even when a retailer title mentions pet hair.

Pet hair is not the same as carpet compatibility

A product title can name a mess without approving every surface that holds it. The archived Levanta listing for ASIN B09P2RKRWX mentions pet hair and sticky messes, while the manufacturer sets the carpet boundary. Read the floor restriction first; a use-case phrase does not override it.

Plan the rooms as separate cleaning jobs

Our household recommendation: keep hard-floor washing and carpet pickup as separate jobs. Before ordering, mark which rooms need each. A home with rugs in otherwise hard-floor rooms still needs a way to clean those rugs; buying a floor washer does not settle that task.

For example, a kitchen spill and fur on a bedroom rug create different equipment requirements. This is a planning example, not a report of our test. The S5's hard-floor positioning answers the first equipment question; its documented carpet restriction rules it out for the second.

Check the product name, not just “S5”

Use the exact model and configuration when opening support instructions. Do not assume another Floor ONE variant supplies a function omitted from this model. Save the manufacturer restriction alongside the seller's description before checkout so the intended use remains clear.

Price does not change the restriction

The old Levanta snapshot recorded $349.99 on September 14, 2026. That historical figure is not today's checkout price and does not make the S5 a carpet cleaner. We give no carpet-pickup score because we have neither an approved carpet use nor a carpet test for this model.

Use the current S5 offer for purchase details. For its remaining chores, read the S5 maintenance questions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the Floor ONE S5 on carpet?

No. Tineco US explicitly answers no to carpet use on its Floor ONE S5 support page.

Does pet-hair wording mean it can vacuum rugs?

No. A mess description does not override the manufacturer restriction against carpet use.

What does a mixed-floor home need alongside the S5?

Our recommendation is a separate carpet-cleaning plan. The S5 hard-floor role does not replace carpet, stair or upholstery coverage.
